Dade City gives us both Nature and Nature & City looks within a few minutes of each other. Downtown has neoclassical columns, verandas and brick, while the Withlacoochee River corridor just east of town offers water, trees and open sky. These spots work beautifully for a maternity photoshoot near Dade City.
I choose based on how you feel that week. If walking is easy, we can explore. If your feet are tired, I pick one spot with level ground and shade, and we make the most of it. A beautiful maternity gallery does not need a long hike.
Hospital, Highways and Hometowns Around Dade City
Most expecting families here deliver at AdventHealth Zephyrhills, roughly 15 minutes south on US 301, where The Baby Place has 7 labor rooms and handles roughly 700 deliveries a year. AdventHealth also runs an OB/GYN practice in Dade City for prenatal visits.
Whether you live downtown, in Dade City North, around Lake Jovita or out toward St. Leo, Trilby or Lacoochee, US 301 and SR 52 are the main routes. For a studio session, SR 52 west to I-75 is usually the quickest way south.

Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead and plan your session between 28 and 34 weeks. Cooler months are ideal for outdoor maternity portraits here, and fall evenings in east Pasco have a lovely amber light. In summer, I schedule the hour before sunset and keep the studio as a backup. Bring comfortable shoes for walking between spots and a light snack to keep your energy up. A bottle of water and a small handheld fan help a lot on warm evenings.
