Hi, I'm Mallary, a Tampa maternity photographer with a studio in New Tampa. East Pasco has some of the most peaceful natural settings in the region, and Zephyrhills sits right in the middle of them. Rivers, springs and huge oaks give pregnancy photos a quiet, timeless quality that suits this season of life.
Zephyrhills is a bit beyond my standard outdoor range, so please ask about travel to Zephyrhills when you get in touch. If you prefer the studio, the drive down SR 56 is roughly 30 to 35 minutes, and my client gown wardrobe will be waiting for you.
A Slower, Greener Setting for Your Third Trimester
Expecting in Zephyrhills often means a little more space and a little less rush than in the city. I want your maternity portraits to feel the same way. We take our time with the gown, walk slowly to each setup and wait for the light to soften rather than squeezing everything into twenty minutes.
Partners and children are welcome. Some moms want a solo session that is entirely about them. Others want their partner's hands on the bump, or a first child kissing the belly. We can do all of it, and I will tell you which order keeps everyone happiest.
Color is part of the plan too. Against the deep greens of a riverbank or the gray bark of old oaks, light gowns in ivory, blush or dusty blue stand out softly, while richer tones like emerald or burgundy feel dramatic in the studio. Hillsborough River State Park
Oak hammock, river views and a historic suspension bridge just south of town. Entry is $6 per vehicle, and the park opens at 8 a.m. and closes at sunset.
Crystal Springs Preserve
A private 530-acre preserve with a spring-fed pond and boardwalks. Reservations are required to visit, so we confirm access before choosing it.

River, Spring and Oak Backdrops Around Zephyrhills
Zephyrhills is surrounded by water. The Hillsborough River runs just south of town, and Crystal Springs Preserve sits on the city's southern edge. For a Nature session, those settings give you soft greens and moving water. Downtown and the old depot suit a Nature & City look with more texture. These are favorite spots for a maternity photoshoot near Zephyrhills.
Later in pregnancy, comfort shapes my choice of location. I look for short walks from the car, a shady spot to rest and level ground for a long gown. River paths and the park's lakeside trail check those boxes, and the studio is always there if the heat is too much.
Getting to You: Roads, Neighborhoods and Delivery Hospitals
Many Zephyrhills moms deliver at AdventHealth Zephyrhills, whose Baby Place has 7 labor rooms and about 700 deliveries a year. Others choose The Baby Place at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, to the west along SR 54 or SR 56.
Whether you live in Silverado, Hidden River, Lake Bernadette, Abbott Square, Two Rivers or near downtown, US 301 (Gall Boulevard) and SR 54 are the main routes. The completed SR 56 extension to US 301, opened in July 2019, is the fastest way to reach the studio.

Zephyrhills is an incorporated city in Pasco County with 17,194 residents in the 2020 Census and ZIP codes 33541 and 33542. It was first settled as Abbott in 1888 and renamed Zephyrhills in 1910, when Captain Howard B. Jeffries was building a colony for Civil War veterans.
The Hillsborough River State Park nearby covers 3,383 acres and is one of the few places in Florida with river rapids, rated Class II. Crystal Springs Preserve covers 530 acres and is a private nature preserve, so visits require a reservation.
Look up on a clear day and you may spot parachutes. Skydive City, founded in 1990, operates here and logs more than 70,000 jumps a year, which explains all that color drifting down over town. It is a fun bit of trivia to share with your little one someday, alongside the photos of the bump they once were.
When to Schedule and What the Weather Means
Plan your session for 28 to 34 weeks and reach out 4 to 6 weeks ahead. Fall and winter bring the most comfortable outdoor days in east Pasco, with lower humidity and golden evenings. In summer, I book the hour before sunset and keep an indoor plan ready.
Collections are Essentials at $400 for five images, Complete at $650 for ten and Premium at $1,150 for twenty, with extra images at $50 each. Your hand-retouched gallery arrives in 1 to 2 weeks. Crystal Springs Preserve is a private 530-acre nature preserve with a spring-fed pond, boardwalks and a butterfly garden. Because it is private, reservations are required to visit, so you would contact the preserve about access first. If it works out, those boardwalks are lovely for a long gown and a slow walk.
Hillsborough River State Park covers 3,383 acres with river rapids, a CCC-era suspension bridge and shady oak hammock. The rapids add movement behind a flowing gown, and the oaks give dappled light that flatters skin. The park closes at sundown, so we time golden hour to finish right before the gates shut.
Zephyr Park's 34 acres at 38116 Fifth Ave include a lake and walking trails under big Civil War-era oaks. A slow lakeside walk with your partner creates natural, candid frames, and the shade keeps you comfortable in the third trimester. Benches and short distances mean plenty of rest between poses.
